The position of Security Officer plays an important role in ensuring the Safety as well as security of the Bank’s personnel and assets, overseeing all security-related staff and assisting in the security arrangements for official delegations in addition to liaising with Law Enforcement Agencies and relevant departments for preventive security measures.  


Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the Safety as well as security of personnel, property, and premises. This role involves monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and upholding strict security protocols to prevent breaches or disruptions.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Surveillance and Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect suspicious activities or security breaches.
    • Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to ensure the safety of the facility.
  2. Access Control:

    • Verify the identity of individuals entering secured areas.
    • Issue and collect visitor passes and ensure adherence to access policies.
  3. Incident Response:

    • In the event of an emergency, alert, or other unusual activity, act quickly. 
    • Document and report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences to the relevant authorities.
  4. Safety Measures:

    • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and first aid response.
    • Regularly inspect security systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other security personnel and management to implement and improve security measures.
    • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security best practices.
3. Functions of the Position a. Maintain close liaison with Law Enforcement Agencies/Local Administration/Civil Defense/Fire Department/Bomb Disposal Squad and Health Department to ensure protective and preventive security measures or to obtain information/assistance in the event of emergency. 

b. Formulate, implement, supervise and co-ordinate all matters pertaining to safety and security to provide secured environment to employees, visitors and all other stakeholders of the Bank. 

c. Supervise deployment of Police guards, attendance record and other related matters in consultation with the Chief Managers/Chief Security Officer. 

d. Constantly monitor the safety and security arrangements in the Bank with a view to bring improvements in the security apparatus. 

e. Supervise, regulate and administratively manage Security Guards in the matters of attendance, deployment and rotation at key points of the Office. 

f. Plan and develop Security budgets, recommend/induct modern security equipment/weapons and monitor effective budget utilization. 



Qualifications and Requirements

  2. a high school diploma or its equivalent.
    Experience:

  3. It is preferable to have prior expertise in law enforcement, security, or a similar profession.

    • Strong observational and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Physical fitness and stamina to handle long hours of standing or patrolling.
    • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  5. Other Requirements:
